Telling the Time

Learning to tell the time is our current focus in Maths.  Mrs Jackson found some great apps for us to put our skills to the test.

Here are some more of the projects we have completed during our Sea study.

More Powerpoints

After we had such success with making powerpoints about different sea creatures, some of us used powerpoint to share other information about the sea.

New iPads!

We are so excited to have 4 iPads in our class to aid our learning. Today we talked about digital citizenship and what that would look like in our class. Some of us worked together to make a Poplet to share our ideas.

Lily and Tiana

Lily and Tiana presented their Powerpoint on the Bottlenose dolphin.  Lily was very clever at adding animations to her presentation.  A shame you can't see them in the movie file.

The Crayon Box that Talked

Today Mrs Jackson had us draw two pictures.  For the first one we were only allowed to use one coloured crayon.  For the second picture we were able to use as many colours as we liked.  Mrs Jackson asked us to think about which picture we would choose to display and why.  Most of us chose the one that used lots of colour because we felt it was a brighter, more interesting picture.   We then watched a clip called The Crayon Box that Talked.  Each crayon has a purpose and life would be boring with only one colour - a little bit like us.  We are all unique but together we make up the bigger picture just like a box of crayons.  It is important that we respect the uniqueness in all of us.

Elise's Powerpoint

Over the next week, we will be sharing our powerpoint presentations that we have made.
Mrs Jackson will save them as movie files which unfortunately won't show the animations that we have learnt how to add.

Here is Elise's powerpoint that she shared with the class today.
