Writing Buddies

During writing time, we swap our books with our peers and read their writing.  We are getting better at telling them what they are doing well, and giving them things to work on.  Mrs Jackson is impressed with our conversations.

ICT in Action

This morning, we were busy using all the devices in our class.  Half of us were publishing our Personal Experience stories on the iPad, using apps like Book Creator, Life Cards and Explain Everything, while the other half were researching Aid Agencies as part of our RE work.

Kia Kaha

Today, Tony, from Kia Kaha, performed for us.  He showed us the Native American hoop dance which tells us that there are challenges in our lives and we must accept these and overcome them.  He also shared with us a Samoan sasa, the poi and the Haka.
